Talk:fey

I recently noticed in Samuel Johnson's (sp?) dictionary that fey is also a verb, having something to do with cleaning or clearing, perhaps as in "fey out the gutters". Can't find any reference to this on the internet, though so maybe it is too old to be of interest. Hogghogg 17:31, 16 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

I think archaic uses should also be included. The fact that it is hard to find information on the verb would make this information all the more useful. Mgiganteus 16:15, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
The verb is found under fay; it means "to cleanse" and is cognate with German fegen "to sweep". --Florian Blaschke (talk) 23:39, 19 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
