I thought this expression was more common, in the sense of "subliminally supercharged" in the sense of jabs and agendas clustered so tightly together, it's hard to take their number without stopping the train.

I came here thesaurus.com doesn't do a good job on freighted / charged / primed / laden / larded / steeped with the sense of a daunting nugget to process emotionally. I'd also include verbal barbs where it takes a while to unpack the venom. MaxEnt 09:50, 14 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
