Hajib or Hijab? edit

Wikipedia's article flatly disagrees with ours, saying that "hijab" is the scarf and "hajib" is "a government official".. Who's right? –scs 02:05, 1 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Arabic has various forms deriving from the verb Template:ARchar (ħájába, 'to cover,' 'to veil'), including Template:ARchar (ħijáb, 'cover,' 'wrap,' 'woman’s veil') and Template:ARchar (ħájib, 'concealing,' 'covering,' and also 'doorman,' 'gatekeeper,' 'chamberlain,' 'orderly') —Stephen 10:30, 2 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks; that's the impression I was getting. So does that mean Wikipedia's article on Hajib is just wrong? –scs 03:29, 3 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
I would classify it as uninformed. —Stephen 23:14, 3 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
