unlike the more vulgar terms gunfucker and ammosexual, i think this word is used academically to refer to people with an interest in weapons (not even just guns), so it can include people who collect swords, etc, and need not be political. Even so, i think the prevalence of guns in modern society means just by frequency it will still mostly refer to firearms and that the derogatory and political senses will be present as undertones in many contexts. —Soap— 08:57, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
