Notes on Italiot-Greek

edit

Probably "from Late Latin campāna (“stilyard; bell”), from Latin Campāna, feminine of Campānus (“of Campania”), from Latin Campānia (“a region of Italy in which bronze was produced”), from campus (“open or flat space; plain”)." (copied from Tagalog entry, but probably exactly the same source, honestly)

Greek script is probably καμπὰνα based on the Italian region it's named after. Please check against Griko sources. Elliott Dunstan (talk) 17:49, 17 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
