krdo is never applied to (deprecated template usage) fish or (deprecated template usage) sheep, of a (deprecated template usage) flock sense - the usual word for them is jato and stado respectively --Ivan Štambuk 17:37, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
For example - you say
- stado ovaca - flock of sheep
- stado koza - flock of goats
- jato riba - flock of fish
- jato ptica - flock of birds
but:
- krdo bivola - buffalo herd
- krdo goveda - cattle herd. It's really the same in literary BCS --Ivan Štambuk 17:46, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
I must be wrong then. But, I would suggest you look at the following usages referring to "krdo ovaca". As well as: referring to Rječnik filozofskih pojmova. --Dijan 04:50, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
- krdo in an extended sense can mean "a large unstructured group of". There are also 825 hits on b.g.c for herd of sheep, which doesn't make it particularly literate either ^_^ --Ivan Štambuk 16:30, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
