You will find "nuncle" within Shakespeare: the fool addresses King Lear thus. And yet this word is described as "nonstandard" and "proscribed". It might be the former in modern usage, but the latter? Surely it should be described as neither. Just "dated" would be sufficient, together with a suitable usage note and/or citation? Thoughts before change?
