What's the opposite of "old salt"?

What's the opposite of "old salt"? In Spanish we can use "marinero de agua dulce" (literally: fresh water sailor) as the opposite of "(viejo) lobo de mar" (old salt). If there is one opposite phrase or word, it probably should be added here. -37.11.122.76 22:50, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
