In this decade, "page" has increasingly been used to mean "webpage". It has also been used (misused?) to mean "website", which may be erroneous for the same reasons that using "webpage" to mean "website" is erroneous, but clearly "page" has been established as a legitimate synonym or shortened version of "webpage". Page (servant) -> page (message)?
editCurrently Wiktionary implies that "page" in the telecommunications sense is an extension of "page" meaning a servant/assistant. Do we know this to be the case, or should this be a separate definition? 5.68.48.12 18:37, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
