Biehl and Locke (2017) quote

edit

I can't fully understand what this quotation means, but I doubt that it relates to transhumanist projects to abolish suffering. It does use the word "posthumanism", but that word has other meanings. The footnote that follows immediately after the quoted sentence points to the paper "Beyond the suffering subject" (Joel Robbins, 2013), which seems to have nothing to do with transhumanism. Rather, the paper seems to discuss the tendency of anthropologists to focus on documenting human suffering. (A readable discussion exists here.) 70.172.194.25 00:27, 22 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

No worries, thanks for the feedback. Agree with you. I will use a different quotation from a website (podcast transcript). Cheers Astudent (talk) 06:50, 2 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
