Axial precession is not the only kind. For example Earth also has orbital precession. Precession of the equinoxes is actually a combination of axial precession and orbital precession, and all 3 have different periods. Earth also experiences precession of the ecliptic, a fourth kind. So it is not correct to define precession as a short form of any one kind of precession. So then: what, in actuality, is precession?
