Thanks for explaining it more details and more. I was scritching my head. The difference of scratch and scritch. Scritch with fingers, while scratch are finger or surface to relieve itch.

- cited. But I don't think it is actually a portmanteau, just another onomatopoeia. My sense of the word is that it is not as broad as scratch - you can scratch an itch by rubbing against a rough surface, for example, but scritching is always done with the fingers.
