For the earlier info that was here see scield. Clark's Concise Dict. has scield (shield) as the headword while B&T doesn't even hav scield but has scild insted. Both hav the foremost meaning for scyld as guilt, crime, asf. --AnWulf ... Ferþu Hal! 05:00, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
