Talk:session data

Does session data need to be stored on the server or can it be kept on the client, as in REST architecture? — This comment was unsigned.

If you don't get an answer here in a few days, ask again at WT:TR. I'm not technically knowledgeable enough about the Web or other network architectures to be able to adjust the definition. I suspect that a general definition would not imply that the data had to be on the server. I'm not even sure that "session data" is Internet-specific. DCDuring TALK 12:13, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
