editI don't think these should be separate senses, since most citations just say "spearwood" with no indication of which species is meant, or even if the speaker would distinguish between them. I would prefer to say something like "Any of various woods used to make spears, especially [specific species]". Ƿidsiþ 16:42, 7 May 2019 (UTC)
