Talk:substance

I heard "substance" defined as "the quality of being important" and I was wondering if others agreed with this as a definition? — This comment was unsigned.

I reviewed other dictionaries' definitions and can't find support for that definition. But it is not out of the realm of possibility. It would just be quite a stretch from the existing meanings.
