"Tantric sex" seems to refer to a kind of sensual Tai Chi, consistent with the Buddhist principle of journey rather than destination. It seems to have little to do with reproduction, but that might still be a component or dimension to the practice. The value of the practice of "Tantric sex" is that the prolonged mindful enjoyment of the senses provides a steady and shared appreciation of the experience of this small part of physical, married, social, and even economic life, that can then be expanded across the realms of personal life from the physical to sensual, mental, emotional, spiritual, etc.
