Etymology

Pfeifer gives Middle High German tierlich, Old High German tiorlīh as the origin but this seems unlikely as those are the origin of tierlich. Is there a precedent of other Middle High German -lich terms giving rise to German -isch doublets? Fytcha (talk) 02:18, 10 November 2021 (UTC)
