Talk:way to go

What does it mean? Does it mean "What a way to go"? DavidFarmbrough 13:51, 6 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

It is an expression of congratulation, but I have rarely heard it used seriously. Mostly when I have heard it it has been bitter sarcasm, as in "So, you killed everybody. Way to go!" There is also variation where "go" is replaced by an action which was not satisfactorily performed, as a condemnation, as in "You lost it. Way to be responsible." I'm very new to Wiktionary, but shouldn't these usages be reflected in the article? FiddlersFingers (talk) 04:36, 19 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
