This page contains usage information, categories, interwiki links and other content describing the template.

Usage edit

This template can be used in the "References" section of an entry to provide a citation for Caleb Bingham's Improprieties in Pronunciation common among the people of New-England, a chapter in the The Child's Companion, Being a Conciſe Spelling-Book (2th edition), published by Manning & Loring in 1808. If a (single) page number is added, it will also automatically generate a link to the correct page of an online version of the book at HathiTrust.

Parameters edit

The template takes the following parameters:

  • |1=, |page=, or |pages= – the number(s) of the page(s) cited as a reference.
  • |2=, |text=, or |passage= – a passage cited from the source.
  • |nodot= – by default, the template adds a full stop (period) at the end of the citation. To suppress this punctuation, use |nodot=1 or |nodot=yes.
