This template may be used in "References" sections and on talk pages to cite the online version of the Mittellateinisches Wörterbuch (MLW).

|1= – the ID of the lemma in the MLW (the last character string in the URL after "XN").
|2= – the name of the entry in the MLW. If this parameter is not stated, the name of the Wiktionary entry is used.
