This template may be used in "References" and "Further reading" sections, and on talk pages, to cite the Lateinisches etymologisches Wörterbuch.

The template takes the following positional or named parameter:

|1= or |entry= – the entry in the Dictionary to be cited. If this parameter is omitted, the template uses the name of the Wiktionary entry.
|2=, |page=, or |pages= – the page number(s) of a print edition of the Dictionary on which the entry appears. Use |pages= if indicating a range of pages, and separate the first and last pages of the range with an en dash, like this: |pages=110–111.
|3= or |vol= - the volume of the Dictionary in which the entry appears.
|4=, |text=, or |passage= – a passage quoted from the Dictionary.
