This template is meant to be used in the etymology section. It displays the phrase Derived from the passive participle (or lowercase derived if lc=1 is given; the words Derived from the are omitted if noderived=1), linked to the appropriate section of Appendix:Arabic nominals, and also places the page in Category:Arabic participles and Category:Arabic passive participles and Category:Arabic terms derived from passive participles unless nocat=1 is given.
