A definition-line template for any of the five names of the Ancient Egyptian royal titulary.

Parameters edit

The type of name. Possible values are:
  • serekh: the serekh (or Horus, or Set) name
  • Two Ladies: the Two Ladies (or Nebty) name
  • gold: the gold (or golden falcon, or golden Horus, or Horus of gold, etc.) name
  • throne: the throne name (or praenomen, or cartouche name, or coronation name, or nesut-biti name)
  • given: the birth name (or nomen, or Son of Ra name); using this value is equivalent to using {{historical given name}}

conventional modern name, and optionally other description, for the king(s) who bore the name

dynasty of the king who bore the name, if it was only one king; if more, this should be written out if desired as part of parameter 2
q=
an optional qualifier such as the gender of the name
or=
an optional alternative qualifier such as the gender of the name
A=
replaces the article in the definition
