Usage notes edit

It seems likely, that this paradigm only applies to the Faroese word dóttir (daughter) and its derivatives. However, it has a certain pattern. Note the double consonant as the last part of the stem, which is simplified in the plural form.

  1. d (first part of the stem)
  2. ó (stem vowel singular)
  3. t (second part of the stem - the R is the last part, but not used as a variable here!)
  4. ø (umlaut in plural)
