Template:surnames-spain-INE

According to official data by the Instituto Nacional de Estadística in 2016, {{{1}}} occurs in Spain as a first surname by {{{2}}} individuals, and as a second surname by {{{3}}} individuals. It is prevalent in {{{4}}}.

This template creates surname statistics for surnames in Spain, either in Spanish, Catalan, Basque, Galician, and other languages, per data by the Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE). The template creates statistics for the surname as a first (paternal) surname and second (maternal) surname, and provinces where the surname is prevalent.

Please note that the numbers displayed in the INE surname statistics use different marks for numeric separators: the period/full stop as the thousand separator, and commas as the decimal mark. The INE database ignores accented vowels (Á, É, Í, Ó, Ú, Ü), but accepts "Ñ".
