This is intended for use on Wiktionary:Requested entries (Scientific names), but may be usable elsewhere.

It takes two arguments: the first intended to be a taxonomic name; the second the type of taxonomic name, eg, genus, species, variety, parvorder, clade.

It simply provides links to the pages with that title at Wiktionary, Wikispecies, and Wikipedia and to Google searches at Books and Scholar and categorizes the item as missing.
