Applied to terms denoting novel concepts ("rheumatoid arthritis", "solar battery", "classical mechanics", ...), names of specific entities and things (e.g. proper nouns), for which this more specific wording ("an alternative name for ...") would be more appropriate. For other synonyms, use {{zh-synonym}}.
