French edit

Etymology edit

Borrowed from Latin Ulyssēs. The Roman name is commonly used for the Greek character, perhaps because a Greek-derived name would be rendered identically to Odyssée (Odyssey).

Pronunciation edit

  • IPA(key): /y.lis/
