The username erayreperit
I'm using everywhere1 2 3 4 and so on… since June 12, 2023 (the day I got the Discord username update) is a compound of Turkish Eray (“a male given name”) and Latin reperit (“(he/she) finds, discovers”), which literally means Eray discovers.
Who is Eray?1

One of my biggest turning points in my Internet usage history was starting to play Habbo on November 29, 2015. There was a set of rules called HabboWay, which included prohibition of sharing real personal info, social media accounts etc. though most of ppl didn't take this seriously but I did. Being a 7-years-old child, I came up with the idea of creating a fake nickname (even a surname that I didn't use much) to defend myself in case of getting reported because of sharing my name, so i would be able to say “I don't break any rules since this isn't my real name”.
Afterwards, through a role play agency in Habbo, called FBI Secret Service, I started using Discord at the age of 8, and afterwards the other social platforms as well. I had been using several usernames such as Matrixism, TaklaKinggTK etc. in my childhood until I decided to update my username in every social network, and create myself a logo. Basically, I was plannin' to create a stable social identity for myself. Since I can change my entire username on every platform excluding Discord, where I can't change my discriminator (the four digits placed after your username to distinguish the accounts who were using the same username, like Eray#6421). So I decided to update my username in every platform to be suitable with my Discord tag (username and the discrim combined). But this was a little problematic, since I was just using the variations of Eray#6421, like Eray6421 on Twitter and GitHub, eray.6421 on Instagram, etc.
Then in 2023, the usernames in Discord started evolving. Firstly @eray
, then @erayy
(which I was planning to claim on Twitter as well) got taken. And I started thinking about a new, fresh username which I can use everywhere without any variations like dots, capital letters et cetera (the only exclusion is the wiki projects where the first letter is always capitalized lol). With the help of Clyde AI (though they didn't help that much) I started researching about interesting Latin words/verbs. I was planning to do something like @erayiscurious
or its Latin version, but then I gave up about it. Suddenly found Latin reperiō, looked through its inflection table to find the third person present indicative form, reperit and BOOM — created my new, super-fresh and ✨ unique ✨ username. ^^
