- "Perfect is the enemy of good enough", users can quickly reach a satisfactory definition, but even two perfectionists are unlikely to ever reach an agreement on a perfect definition.

- Wikimedia is not suited for merging concurrent edits.
- Wiktionary has rigidly requirement has well established standards. This allows people to contribute
- Based on word distribution statistic (Ziphs laws AKA long tail) almost all words require very short definitions.
