Voting on: Enabling the flood flag on English Wiktionary. It is to be used only for temporarily making repetitive, non-controversial actions so as not to flood Recent Changes.
The vote doesn't make clear (and I'm sorry I noticed this only now) who will have the power to set and unset the flood flag. Assuming that only admins (or only bureaucrats, or only admins and patrollers) will have those powers, I vote in support.—msh210℠19:11, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I really wish this proposal were clearer. We're seeking a new user group with which rights precisely? bot? autopatrol? noratelimit? skipcaptcha? apihighlimits? And, then, who will have the right (technical power, not permission) to add and remove people from that group? admins? b'rats? admins and parollers? I don't mind any of the options I've listed (except the 'bot' right, as I have no idea what it does precisely, but I assume I don't mind it, either), which is why I'm voting in support, but.—msh210℠18:37, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
FWIW, Simetrical has informed me that the 'bot' right is the right to mark edits as bot edits, which can then be not seen in recentchanges, on watchlists, etc.—msh210℠20:05, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
My understanding is that should this vote pass, the usergroup "Flood" which has the right "Be treated as an automated process (bot)" will be added, and the "Administrator" user group will have Add group: Flood, and Remove group: Flood added. --Yair rand20:12, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
