An additional reason not to nominate offensive words or profanity is that many educational sites routinely restrict access by automated filters that search for such words. It the WOTD is a profane word, its presence on the main page would prevent thousands of people from accessing the main page. Since Wiktionary is about including people in the project, featuring obscenities or profanities is to be avoided. --EncycloPetey 17:33, 7 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
