     In the case of a copper alloy, the inflammatory reaction may be minimal and a slow diffusion of copper occurs and impregnates limiting membranes of the eye to produce the picture of chalcosis that may include peripheral corneal ring, sunflower cataract, and heterochromia of the iris.
