Etymology edit

co- +‎ locatrice

Pronunciation edit

Noun edit

colocatrice f (plural colocatrices)

  1. (nonstandard) female equivalent of colocataire

Usage notes edit

Strictly speaking, colocatrice would be the feminine of colocateur and would mean a female co-lessor, a co-landlady. In standard usage, colocataire "co-tenant, roommate" is used in both the masculine and the feminine.
