The Old English name Beowulf comprises of the prototheme Beo- and the deuterotheme -wulf.

Usage notes edit

A deuterotheme is not the same as a suffix. Most deuterothemes originate in older forms of a language, and come from an independent word with its own meaning, such as -mir from Proto-Slavic *mirъ (peace; world).
