form book (plural form books)

  1. (British) An annual book produced showing the results for the year's horse races together with comments on each runner.
  2. (British, figurative) The past performance of something or someone.
    It is a certainty, given the form book, that this prime minister will be condemning us to many more months of wage restraint.
  3. (US, law) A binder of loose-leaf forms, or a book containing specimens of such forms, for use by attorneys in their work.
