- Jhumming consists during its first stage, clearance of the shrubs, surface soil with the undergrowth at the autumn season, while the conservation of the ashes for manuring is practiced during February or March. After felling the jungle, the common practice is that trees and shrubs are exposed to sunshine, which when dried are burnt.
