      Deux ou trois de ces colonnes avaient disparu dans les feux de ces bivouacs et avaient chauffé les larges mains des kaiserlicks.
      Two or three of these columns had disappeared in the fires of these camps, and had warmed the large hands of the kaiserlicks.
