Etymology
editFrom Arabic مُذْنِب (muḏnib, “sinner, wrongdoer”). The plural midinbin is regular: The unstressed -e- is deleted, yielding *midnbin, where the -n- needs an epenthetic -i- because sonorants cannot stand between two other consonants. Compare the same in mislem, misilmin.
