Either identical to the aforementioned etymology or from rrëshqas (to slide, slip), a prefixal derivative of shqas/shkas (rrëshqanë (crawling, dragging) has a similar formation). Meyer likens it to the stem rrësh- while Barić to Latin vorrō.[1]
