A borrowing from Kyrgyz сыналгы (sınalgı), proposed as part of a purist drive to replace words with non-Turkic roots by pure Turkic words.

- The proposal has gained no traction, and almost no Turks will understand this word or even recognize it as Turkish. The normal term, used by most Turks, is televizyon.
