spunbond (countable and uncountable, plural spunbonds)

  1. Spunbonded fabric; a type of nonwoven fabric made by extruding continuous filaments directly from thermoplastic polymer chips, forming those filaments into a web, and then causing them to bond by the application of heat or (more rarely) a catalyst.
