      Pam3CysSerLys4 (Pam3CSK4) is a synthetic triacylated lipopeptide that mimics the triacylated lipoprotein of mycobacteria and classical gram-positive bacteria, which can be recognized by TLR2/TLR1 heterodimers and induce the production and release of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines (IL-6, IL-12, TNF-α and IL-10), chemokines (IL-8) and interferon (IFN-γ) [ 25 – 28 ].
