Etymology edit
Third persons from Ancient Greek ἀφοράω, ἀφορῶ (aphoráō, aphorô, “look at carefully”). Morphologically, from αφ- (απο-) (prefix, here emphasizing) + the ancient ὁράω, ὁρῶ (horáō, horô, “look”). Semantic loan from French regarder (ça me regarde)[1] or concerner (en ce qui concerne)[2]
