Etymology edit
Derived from Proto-Slavic *brъšč- (“clatter”) + -олевя (-olevja). Akin to dial. Bulgarian бръ́скам (brǎ́skam, “to prod, to clack”), Slovene bŕskati (“to browse, to tackle”).
