Etymology edit

According to Ḳelauraʒe, from *ქერ-ქერ- (*ker-ker-), by reduplication of *ქერ- (*ker-), from Proto-Georgian-Zan *ker-, whence also ქერქელა (kerkela, shell, pod), ქექერ (keker, leather), ქენქერი (kenkeri, hard, firm). Cognate with Laz ქაქარა (kakara, firm, dry, hardened).[1]
