      Frontalis
The frontalis muscle (the muscle of the forehead) is positioned on the forehead (frontal bone), extending approximately from the hairline down toward the brow ridge. Its right and left borders are near the temporal lines, and the muscle is divided in the center of the forehead.
The frontalis is the front portion (frontal belly) of the occipito-frontalis muscle. The posterior belly, called the occipital portion, is on the back of the skull, and is hard to detect if there is hair on top of it.
