From Middle Chinese: 無友不如己者
Proverb
己に如かざる者を友とするなかれ (hiragana おのれにしかざるものをともとするなかれ, romaji onore ni shikazaru mono o tomo to suru nakare)
- Do not befriend people who are not as sincere as you are.
