Gyeongsang, Gangwon, and Hamgyong form of 달래다 (dallaeda, “to soothe, comfort, pacify”)

  아무리 달개도 안 돼서 별거 를 다 갖다 줘도 울음 을 안 그치 다가, '아나 머시 야 곶감 무 라.' 쿤 게네.
  Amuri dalgae-do an dwaeseo byeolgeo-reul da gatda jwodo ureum-eul an geuchi-daga, ana meosi-ya gotgam mu-ra. Kun-gene.
  As the boy kept on crying, no matter how much she comforted or gave him things, [the mother] said, 'hey boy, eat these persimmons'.
